Power is out at school and the campus is closed so, no practice as a team today.

Remember our talk last Thursday about determination and doing what you can do in this type of situation?  Triya ran 9 miles in her hotel room when she had to isolate during the lockdown.  Those 9 crummy miles were not the reason she was on the NCAA national championship team 18 months later.   It was the attitude and determination that Triya showed that day that put her on the podium last November!

Similarly, if you get a zero today, that’s not the end of the world.  Missing one workout probably won’t be the tipping point in you achieving your season goals.  But if you get out in the weather and log some kind of workout, even if no one else knows what you are doing, you are telling yourself what kind of determination and grit is inside you.

There is a big difference between a zero and getting something in, even if you don’t complete the original plan.

Good luck today, be safe, and embrace your grit!  I miss you today, but I will see you tomorrow!
