Attached are some suggested runs for MVXC Summer Running, weeks 3 and 4!  Check it out.

Group runs start at 7am, Monday through Saturday, on the Monta Vista track.  Reach out to annoy of the student-athlete contacts for 2023 summer running:

If you want to get some extra supplemental training in, there will be coaches at the track on Monday and Wednesday nights at 6pm.  These sessions will be complementary to a morning run–overachievers are encouraged to do both.

Also…have you made an appointment for your annual physical yet?  Don’t wait until the last week!  You can take care of athletic clearance now.

Do you have something planned for the 4th of July?  Maybe do something with friends!  Here is an adventure you could organize, maybe you can start the holiday like this:

An idea for a different run if you get some parents involved to drive…have your parents drive you and drop you and your freinds off in Los Gatos and run down the Los Gatos Creek Trail to Campbell Park; your parents can drive to Campbell and have coffee and hang out.  When you get to Campbell Park, you can run or walk over to downtown Campbell for breakfast or lunch (Stacks makes a nice breakfast, you can get a breakfast sandwich at Manresa or at Orchard Valley, Aqui is there for lunch or pizza at Blue Line) and then meet your drivers.  If you get dropped at Los Gatos High School it is about 6 miles to Campbell Park; you can warm up on the track and get some extra, or if you want more than that, you can get dropped at the Lexington Dam and get about 7.5, or even further up the reservoir for more.  You can be dropped at different distances, for example a couple people could be dropped at the Lex Dam first, and run to the Los Gatos High School track to meet the other people, then all run down the trail together to Campbell Park.   This run could be a nice change of pace and the breakfast after will be well earned!  Ask Coach Flatow if you want more information.

Have a great holiday and a great couple of weeks!

(if you need to refer to the plan for the first two weeks of the summer, here it is)
