Hello MVTF !

Today is the last dual meet of the season vs. Saratoga!  Hard to believe that we are getting towards the end of another track season.  As we reach the end, I thought I’d highlight a few dates and also ask for a little assistance…
May 5 (4pm-7pm) and May 7 (4pm to 8pm):  League Finals at Wilcox High School
This will be the last meet for much of our team!  We hope you will be able to come cheer on your student-athletes.  We could use some help here–Monta Vista has been asked to be the hurdle crew for this meet (one of the problems of being efficient at something).  Since many of our athletes will be competing, if possible I’d like to have 4-5 parents help move hurdles around on both Monday and Wednesday.  If you could help out, this would be very much appreciated!  Please let me know.
May 9 (3pm-4pm):  Uniform Return in the student parking lot
For everyone who has ended their season, please return your uniform this Friday in the student parking lot at the blue trailer between 3 and 4pm.  The only exceptions are:
–If you are still competing at the SCVAL championships.
–If you are going to join the XC team in Fall 2014, you can fill out the form (downloadable) and return this to Coach Flatow at any time.
Especially seniors–we will be filing delinquencies on Monday so please DON’T FORGET to return your uniform!!!
May 14 (6pm-9pm):  Team Banquet at the Quinlan Center (City of Cupertino)
Always a fun night and a highlight of the year!
May 16 (4pm-8pm although schedule still to come):  SCVAL Championships at Santa Clara High School
Come see the league’s best compete for a berth in the CCS meet, and cheer on your Monta Vista teammates!
Hurdle Crew:  Monta Vista has volunteered for hurdle duty again.  Normally this is a lot of work however at SCVALs hurdle duty is a perk!  The oval inside the track is closed to everyone except competitors–and the hurdle crew!!!  Volunteering for the hurdle crew is the ONLY way to be able to cheer on your teammates from inside the track!  We need 12 volunteers…first come, first served!  This is always a special task.
And don’t forget the traditional OPEN MILE at the end of the meet!
See you soon at a meet and the banquet!
