The Christmas Relays are a fun, holiday relay race held in San Francisco on Saturday, December 19.  The race is run in teams of four, with each runner covering the same loop of 4.464 miles.  The logistics are pretty simple because the start, end and all the exchange points are at the same location.

This could be a fun, very distance-runner way to celebrate the end of finals!  Why not get some teams together and head up to San Francisco for the day?  (There might even be some parent teams that you could get together to give your folks incentive to drive you!)  Personally, I’d make a day of it and plan on a nice San Francisco brunch/lunch afterwards before heading back to Cupertino!

If you decide to do this…Coach wants to hear about your team, race and results and of course send photos!  We want to see the hats.  Forward the team names and the participants to Coach Flatow so we can track you.

Alumni!  You can get teams together, too, if you are back in town for the holidays.  What a great way to get together with MVXC friends you have not seen in a while?  If you do this…Coach Flatow wants a photo of your team together (along with your team name!
