Roster Status! Clearance as of Friday January 31

Update On Friday January 31:

Below is the track and field roster as of 7pm on Friday night.  Please see if your name is on this roster!  And then…

If your name is on the roster:  Show up at the track on Monday at 3:45, after school.  You are on the roster, you don’t have to do anything more, you can practice with the team!

If your name is not on the roster and you want to join the track team:  Go see Mr Bonacorsi, Javier or Mr Wong and get cleared (procedures are linked below and have been posted many, many times).  Bring your copy of the clearance form with you to practice (people on the list below do not need to bring this form).  You have until Friday January 7 to complete these procedures (you will receive an absence for every day you are not cleared, however).

Winter sport athletes:  Please drop by and say hi, and let Coach Flatow know that you are going to be on the team as soon as your season is done.  Good luck with the rest of your season!

I can see that athletes are completing their clearance procedures for the Spring track and field season!  The track team now has 73 athletes that have been cleared by the school and have been added to the track and field roster.

The current roster is listed below.  I will update this list again over the weekend.

If you are on this list, you are on the team!  Show up on Monday and you will find your name on the roster.  You don’t need to bring any of the other forms or anything else; you are in the system, on the team, and ready to go–arrive on Monday ready to practice.

If you are on a Winter sports team and your season is still going, please send me an email or come to the beginning of practice on Monday and let me know that you will be joining track when your season is over.

If you are not cleared on on the list below, or have been added to this list over the weekend, then as of Monday you are not on the team and you may practice on the team (and you start to accumulate absences).  Go see Javier or Mr. Bonacorsi as soon as possible, get clearance, and bring a signed clearance card from Mr. Bonacorsi or Javier.  These are the only people who can clear you to join the team–coaches cannot clear you.  You may not practice with the team until you have been cleared by Mr. Bonacorsi or Javier–period!

Track and Field Parents:  Please remember to join the Monta Vista Athletic Boosters today and support our team; also mark your calendar for the track and field parents meeting on February 25 (we have a special thank you for MVAB parents, too).
