Parents,
We are now into the second month of Track & Field — it is hard to believe that time can fly by so fast. You’ve already had a month of kids coming home complaining of sore legs and asking for new shoes, and it can be a little shocking that in just over two months we will be traveling to the league championship meet. Time truly does fly!
This week we have a couple of things I’d like to highlight for parents–
–On Wednesday, March 2, at 6:15pm in the Student Union/Cafeteria we will have a parents meeting…I’ll try to let you learn a little more about the team and answer questions you might have.
–On Thursday, March 3, we plan to issue uniforms to the team. My wife, Mrs. Flatow, does this every season and she needs the help of 3 or 4 parents to get the team fitted and uniforms signed out. If we could get 3 or 4 parents who could help from 3pm until about 4:30pm on Thursday, we would really appreciate this! We can’t do it without you. Please drop me an email if you can help out.
Then on Saturday, we are heading to Willow Glen for our first race of the year! Willow Glen, by the way, was my own high school and the track there was the scene of my modest high school track glory 🙂 I really love taking the kids to open the season at Willow Glen…and if you have time, the kids would like to see you in the crowd!
