On the Lynbrook Course–Great for spectators and close to MV.
Our first Santa Clara Valley Athletic League (SCVAL) race is right around the corner–Tuesday, September 29. Please note that the location of this meet has changed. SCVAL 1 will now be on the Lynbrook High School course…one of the nice things about this change of course is that a month later, we will be running the same course for the FUHSD Championships, so you can see your improvement over the course of a month. Artichoke Invitational Start
The following Saturday, MVXC travels to Half Moon Bay for the Artichoke Invitational. Your coach has a warm spot in his heart for this race, as in 1976 he won his first invitational medal in a Varsity race at this same race! The Half Moon Bay cross country coach is a great guy and runs a great meet, and the t-shirts are definitely collectible. Following the race we will have a party on the beach for the fourth year in a row…always a ton of fun! Don’t worry if you are taking the SAT that day, with a little planning, almost everyone has been able to take the SAT and get to Half Moon Bay in time to race, too.
