Your coaches don’t have the words to tell you how proud we are of all of you!
So this post can be short and sweet…because words don’t do justice to what you did.
Some of our team’s accomplishments include:
–14 total medals (vs. 3 in 2011); lots of hardware!
–Boys team was 166 of 494 teams there, girls were 35th of 436 teams! The girls were the second team from CCS, behind only SLV.
–Bridget and Jenny had times that were in the top 100 of all the girls who raced at Mt SAC–thousands!–I think there were only 15 schools that had two girls in the top 100.
–This is the first time I can remember the meet announcer talking about Monta Vista over the loadspeaker, and once they got to know us I heard plenty of announcements for our finishers in the top 10 of their races (Bridget, Jenny, Brent and Max) as well as the ‘two Monta Vista runners working together on the runway’ (Paru and Kaylene).
–8 new PRs (out of 14 chances)
I probably should write more however I’d like to get this posted. You all are so very, very great! Keep it up!
