Monta Vista Cross Country has selected an excellent group of captains to lead the squad in their 2017 campaign.
From the girls side of the team, senior Akshara Majjiga along with juniors Sanjana Borle and Anjali Thontakudi were selected as our team captains. Akshara will be a captain for her second season, while Sanjana and Anjali are first timers. All three young women have been part of MVXC since their freshman years.
For the boys four boys were chosen as captains (rather than try to break a close vote). Seniors Derek Lee, Jason Tsujimoto and Jeffrey Xu along with junior Aravind Meyyappan will lead MVXC in 2017.
There are a lot of great people who are and have been a part of MVXC over the years…yet this is truly an exceptional group of captains. We are fortunate to have these fine student-athletes to lead our team this year!
