Hello Fellow XC Parents,
My name is Ceci Imamura and I will be working with Coach Flatow and Coach Johnson as a team parent. I will be helping to arrange a carpool sign-up for this year’s XC season as well as some other events throughout the season. I hope I can count on your support.
I would like to invite you to join the MVXC Yahoo Group so that you can get important messages from me and other parents. I will be sending out an invitation to you soon. If you do not get the invitation, you can also subscribe to the MontaVistaXC group and I will accept you into the group.
Our first meet will be on Saturday, September 10th – Ed Sias Invitational in Martinez. We will need to transport about 90 kids to the event. The meet is early so we will need drivers to arrive at MVHS bus circle around 6:00 am……(details to follow)
Per school rules, students are not allowed to drive other students to school events, i.e. XC meets. Since we do not have bus transportation, the kids have no way to get to these meets without parents driving. Carpooling is the most efficient way —- so we will need your help. Each parent does not have to drive to EVERY meet if each of us helps out and signs up for at least a meet or two. The kids have fun riding with other runners and it provides an excellent environment for team bonding.

Please sign up with how many runners you can take (including your own children) other than the driver. For example, if I have a 6 seater SUV, and I am driving with my 2 kids who are on the team, I will have 5 seats available to the team.
Each meet has a tab. I will be updating the details as I receive them from the coach regarding the time for dismissal from class and the number of runners that will be needing a ride.
One additional favor I ask is that you or your runner also sign the carpool sheet if you know he/she WILL NOT be needing a ride with the carpool. Just write in your name and your child’s name and put the number of seats available in your car as “1”.
