We had fun with this last year…let’s try this again!
The Sunday after graduation–June 5–we are going on an adventure run! At 7am, we get on a bus at Monta Vista and head to Felton. We get kicked out of the bus there, and run trails all the way to Santa Cruz where we meet the bus again. After regrouping, we spend the day at the beach before getting back on the bus and heading home. It’s a great day, and a great way to kick off the summer–and summer running!
The run is about 8 miles long…we had athletes of all types join us last year, including a sprinter who had never run 8 miles in her life until that day! She ended up joining cross-country that fall, so the run must have not been that bad!
Truly–every athlete on the cross-country and track team who is ready to tackle 8 miles, and is welcome!
And alumni, too!

Cost: $10 (cash or check payable to Monta Vista ASB)
To sign up for the run: Download and fill out the form below, and have your parents sign the release. Bring the completed form to Namrata together with $10. Namrata will be in charge of collecting the paperwork. The trip is limited to the first 40 athletes who sign up. First come, first served!
What to bring: Wear your running gear. Bring something to wear on the beach/check the weather, a towel, water bottle, either pack a lunch or bring money for lunch (the team found a good place last year), any sand toys you want.
When: Be in the Monta Vista parking lot before 7am. We will leave promptly!
