It’s hard to believe but…the first MVXC practice for 2016 is 24 days away!  Wow…that’s right, first practice will be on Monday, August 8 at 4pm (after the juniors finish Running of the Bulls).  Practice will also be at 4pm on Tuesday, then we will switch to 7am for the rest of the week to beat the heat (and get you acclimatized again to rising early and getting to school).

And yes–we have a complete schedule now posted both on-line and downloadable/printable, suitable for posting on your refrigerator 🙂 .

On-Line Clearance for Participation in Athletics

We have a new system this year for on-line clearance, parents and students have a slightly new procedure to follow.  I am assured this will be the last time we switch for many years!  Here is the process…

If your student-athlete is planning on joining cross-country…the new on-line system to sign up is now ready to use!  Practice starts in a few weeks…here are the steps to follow:

  1. Go to Athletic Clearance.  You can do this right now whether you have seen your doctor or not!  So let’s get this over with 🙂 Here are the instructions to follow. There are already 10 students who have complete on-line sign ups so clearly this is up and working!
  2. If you have not done so, take your student-athlete to their doctor for his or her physical; the forms you, your student and the doctor need to complete are forms A and B available on the school web site
  3. Join MV Athletic Boosters on-line here.
  4. To complete clearance to be able to practice with the team, your student should bring the completed physical forms to the school and turn this form in to Mr. Bonacorsi (the athletic director) on August 4, at 9am, at the Trainer’s Room.  If your student is not available, due to a trip or anything, a friend can deliver the complete physical forms to Mr. Bonacorsi.  If all the on-line forms are complete and the physical forms are complete, your student will be given a card showing they are able to join cross-country!
